300

So, I went to see 300 tonight. What can I say but that it was amazing. The action scenes and all that jazz were amazing! I can't even begin to describe how awesome they were, but I must say that this is one of the best movies I've seen. Except one thing.... The sex and nudity! Holy crap.... It has an extreme amount of it. That's the one reason I won't recommend it to anyone.

My question is this, Why did this director find it necessary to add this to the movie? I know that I did not find it necessary to add this to make it complete. Honestly, I would have preferred extended battle scenes rather than extended sex scenes!

So, My rating is Great Movie, too much sex, so it's up to you whether you struggle with sex and nudity in films enough to not see it. I won't be seeing it again in theaters though.

It's hard at times..



So, being a Bearcat fan seems to be difficult these days. But, I don't understand why people don't support their team anyway? I mean, sure it can be disappointing when they lose, and most people don't like this feeling, but why allow that to stop you from showing your support. I hate when I go around campus and see tons of OSU, Michigan, and other school clothing ( I know I have an OSU sweatshirt, but I don't root for them over UC). It's aggravating that people can go to UC, and be die hard Buckeyes fans, to the point that when we played them, they wanted us to lose! Please people, pick a school and stick with it. We don't want you as a fan if you're only around during the good days. I see this all to often with Cincinnatians. Most of you support the Bengals now, but where were you in the 90's? I didn't see many of you? Now that we're winning again, you have popped out of the woodwork. I understand it may not be worth spending $60+ to watch a game, but at least support them however you can. And the Reds, you can't give up in June, even if the team is falling apart!

Stupidity...

GO UC!

So, tonight was a UC Sports night. After a couple hours of basketball, I went up to Queen City Racket Club to watch the Women's Tennis Team beat BGSU 4-3! What a match...

After an 8-1 victory at 2nd doubles, the Bearcats dropped 3rd doubles in a tiebreaker, and 1st pulled out a victory! That put UC up 1-0. Then on court 1, we lost in straight sets to tie it up at 1. Court 3 finished up soon after, putting BG up 2-1. On Court 5, BG won in straight sets though our girl (Ali) seemed to be tired or something was wrong. She played tough, but BG still went up 3-1. Now this looked bad because we had one girl who won a tiebreaker in the first set on court 4, one girl (Elizabeth) on court 2 who won her first set handily, and playing close in the 2nd, and one on court 6 who won her first set, but losing badly in the 2nd. Elizabeth won 7-5 to put UC down one match at 3-2. We also won court 4 in straight sets to tie it at 3 apiece. Now court 6 was exciting. She lost her 2nd set (set score now 1-1). They then spilt games, 1-0, 1-1, 2-1, 2-2, 3-2, 3-3. That's when our girl (Rachel) won two in a row to put her up 5-3, and in the position to win the match. However, up 0-15 in the next game she folded, and she lost 2 in a row to be tied at 5. They then split games to tie at 6 apiece. Then the tie breaker went as follows: 1-0, 1-1, 1-2, 2-2, 2-3, 3-3, 3-4, 4-4, 5-4, 6-4, 6-5, and Finally 7-5 to win the match!

It was very exciting, and I can't wait until the next match.

Our Club hockey team play hard against a dirty So. Indiana Hockey team, losing miserably, 10-1.

Word!



Hey,

So, I guess one can't always get what he/she wants. I'm talking about the National Championship. It was terrible, not because the Bucks lost, but because of the way they lost. I don't care enough about the Buckeyes to get heartbroken over a loss, especially after we win our bowl, but I do enjoy watching good football. What the Bucks played was NOT good football. Oh well, as the two images attached to this blog say, we won OUR bowl game.

That's another thing, I'm disgusted with the way this university has no faith in their athletics nor do they have any pride. It bothers me that I walk around and see a ton of people wearing OSU, Florida (though most of those were after the National Championship) and Duke. What's worse, when we played OSU in football, we had people from UC cheering for OSU to beat us! I am a huge Buckeyes fan, but I go to UC, and would never think of rooting against us. Whatever.
